Jess Geevarghese believes that we are all teachers. When one person grows, the universe grows. When one person learns, we all learn.
With years of meditation practice and business experience, Jess relays ancient wisdom in a contemporary manner. Jess trained privately with master teachers in meditation, reiki and sound healing. She trained at ISHTA Yoga where she completed the 200-hour certification, as well as the advanced 300-hour, and restorative teacher training. With her love of public speaking, her calming presence and the joy she feels when leading couples on a journey into their wedding day, Jess tailors meaning, humor and warmth into officiating.
Jess holds an undergraduate degree, M.S.W and M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
She is grateful for the extraordinary meditation, yoga and reiki teachers, who guided her towards the Long Time Sun – Alex Kahan, Kelly Eudailey and Linda Gnat-Mullin. The biggest lesson she learned from them is that every moment is a moment of potential transformation.

The Long Time Sun offers institutional and private classes in meditation, employee wellness presentations on meditation for stress management / potential optimization, yoga teaching and wedding officiating services . Each practice is powerful by itself and complements the insights of the other two. They form a core practice that that can be adapted to each client. Together, they form a spiral of practices that each client can enter at any point.
Jess will work with you to find the right practice or combination of practices that you need. Taking care of your self is a responsibility. At the Long Time Sun, it is also fun. Jess will meet you where you are and you will leave each session or class with ideas and inspiration.
Yoga is philosophy in action. Yoga connects the breath and the asana (postures) to both energize and relax the physical body, which then calms the mind. Thus, yoga yokes the body and the mind, strength and flexibility, the physical and the subtle. In fact, the very word “yoga” means “to yoke” or “union” in Sanskrit.
A private session includes a well-rounded and individualized yoga practice to balance both the mind and the body drawing from ISHTA principles of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda.

Meditation is the practice of calming the mind. Most of us are constantly listening to a mental voiceover of reactions and judgments. We live in the past or the future. Meditation brings us into the present moment where we are free. Like yoga, meditation has been around for thousands of years, though it’s only now that science is validating its physical and emotional benefits.
Marriage is one of the most significant moments in a couple’s story. To honor this moment in your story, Jess works to develop a heartfelt wedding ceremony. Bringing together her public speaking, counseling, and mindfulness skills--as well as interfaith experience and humor--Jess weaves hand-picked elements (e.g., stories, readings, blessings, vows) into a special order of events.
You can expect two to three sessions to share and discuss your backgrounds, preferences, and wedding needs, followed by time to review the flow and provide feedback. Jess asks thought-provoking questions to uncover meaningful narratives and traditions, ensuring that the ceremony reflects your priorities and values.
Jess regularly presents in corporate settings on meditation for stress management and leads 30 & 45 minute guided meditations in workplaces. Through a secular-based approach, the employee wellness lecture/workshop and guided meditations are designed to inspire people to find balance in their internal landscape which has lasting effects in their professional lives. If you seek a meditation practice that provides both expert guidance and accountability, Jess offers 10-minute customized, audio guided meditations. No matter where you live, meditations are created following a conversation with the client and are based on the client's individual needs and interests. Meditations are developed to use every day for a minimum of one week.
1 guided meditation (10 minutes) + 15 minute consultation + email follow up after one week.
3 weekly guided meditations (10 minutes each) + 15 minute consultation + email follow up weekly.
